Revamped the company’s name cards. The cards were of 300gsm, letter-pressed and had edge printing. It was so much fun doing these as I explored and was exposed to different types of printing.

Amusement Park

i never quite understood your love for the hotdog stand next to the haunted mansion / you never saw why i loved candy floss either / your chiseled jawline glistened underneath the cheerful brilliance of light-bulbs strung across tents / you beamed whenever your hoops go over dusted glass bottles of coca-cola / you never liked losing / you never did / challenge, we would / i would throw hoops with my eyes closed / your smile was something i would miss bottles for / we would take the merry-go-round / always choosing carriages over colourful horses with long manes / unknowingly going in rounds / don’t know what for / in silence, sitting with hands clasped together / then again, meaningless / did it really matter / nicotine-tinted light illuminated as it turned counter-clockwise again and again / silence sank louder than music from the old speakers above / you didn’t enjoy it / how could i not have noticed / running to your favourite death coaster / never fancied yet agreeing / your happiness, your happiness / all buckled up as lines formed at edges of my eyes / squinted tightly as i grabbed on your crumpled shirt / i was almost non-existent / ride accelerated faster and faster / your two hands gripping tightly to the safety bar / right from entering the park / i never mattered / lights glared straight into your eyes / momentarily blinding our vision / the ride is over / back to being dispersed to crowd of families with corn cobs / back to couples making out in corners / someday we would meet at the entrance, again / in the sea of people / now back to solo-riding / finding beauty in sorrows / shunning rides i never liked

probably made you up with / with all the other million creatures in my empty crown / alabaster within the black / white diminished and turned to dust / here’s to navigating in the dark / someday i will find a new bright light / till then / hoping i don’t injure / bumping into corners here and there / hoping it does not be on par as an E= mc2 / easy to fall / hard to forget

A flyer to promote the various corporate innovation programmes offered. This was distributed during Tech In Asia 2016, to entrepreneurs from all around the world.

Shot in Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Shot on Canon AF35M II

During my 5 months internship in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, I hardly used my smartphone to take pictures whenever I am out in public, fearing for pickpockets. So, I carried my handy-dandy, old school looking camera around with me wherever I went to capture different moments I experienced. The pictures were not instant which was something I developed a love-hate relationship with. Still, the eventual surprise in every shot kept me snapping on and on!

I also especially adore the rawness (very perfectly encapsulating the essence of Cambodia) in film; something smartphones can hardly produce.

My friends recently got engaged and I experimented with a wedding invite using their names. Was deeply inspired by non-traditional invites I saw online one day so I decided to create this.

Candy Shop

They will pick you up tomorrow
This will mark the beginning of my never-ending sorrow
Mama’s got no choice
Won’t you hear my voice?
Thrown at the back of the truck with dust,
Down my oesophagus, I taste iron rust
I see many others with cherubic looking faces
All from different places
You will learn to love it, you little sluts!
No more buts-
Madame’s flashy rings in the dark and loud cachinnation
Are things I’ll never pay adulation
If the milk chocolates aren’t for you, Sir
Take your pick from the dark, she whirred
Standing in a line at Svay Pak, we shook like a leaf
As they took their time to choose us like a slice of Wagyu beef
Torn off my candy wrapper, I was sucked on like a lollipop
You yelled for me to go on top, let’s swap
Beneath my shrieking screams, you punched me with your fist
What a beast
When you’re done, you leave for a plate of spaghetti at the bar across
I am then left feeling nothing but dross
Out of the fifty odd, one called me his Habibi and said he’d protect me
Little did I know, it was merely to fuel his excitement and dominion with my pleas
An eleven-year-old physique embodying a thirty-year-old woman
Treated like a dash of cinnamon
Two years in,
This game, it is time I win
Footsteps masked by Madame’s snores
I ran through rows and rows of stores
The night’s cold wind filling up my ribcage
I am finally free, free from the cage
I love candy but this is one candy store I am never returning to
I will go, go as far as my feet will bring me ashore

Svay Pak is known as a place around the world where pedophiles come to get their fix of little girls.

Habibi is an Arabic word translating as ‘my baby’ or ‘my darling’.

Dross represents waste or impure matter, scum that forms on the surface of molten metal as a result of oxidation.

A few patches I illustrated for a school trip to Portland-Seattle. These patches were subsequently used for the trip’s Instagram page, to boost excitement amongst fellow trip-goers.

A flyer done for INK Asia. INK Asia’s the continent’s most relevant conference around disruption. Over the course of two days, award-winning speakers serenaded the audience with their sharings.

Flyer was distributed in the CBD area.

A couple of branding merch done for an initiative. Had my hand in sourcing for suppliers and also choosing the right thickness and textured paper for the hang tags.

A welcome card designed to welcome new members into the co-working space. The envelope was then wax sealed - first time experimenting with traditional wax seals!
